Sold out? Keep selling.
Mint Preorder turns Add to cart into Pre-order for out-of-stock or upcoming products, tells shoppers when it ships, and marks every order as a pre-order using Shopify's own pre-order plans.

Everything a pre-order needs, nothing it doesn't
The core of a pre-order app, at a flat price and light on your storefront.
Only when the selected variant is out of stock, or always for a launch. It switches live as shoppers pick sizes and colours, and switches back when stock returns.
A clear note and your terms under the button, and the same wording on the cart line, at checkout, on the order and in the confirmation email.
Each campaign is a real pre-order purchase option in Shopify, so orders are marked as pre-orders with their fulfilment date. No hidden products, no fake variants.
See each variant's stock and whether it keeps selling at zero. Turn on “continue selling” with one click, per variant, only when you choose to.
Stop one order from taking the whole incoming shipment. The limit is checked by Shopify at checkout, not just on the product page.
Start and end campaigns automatically in your store's timezone. Outside the window the pre-order option is removed, so nobody can pre-order late.
Live in three steps
No code to paste into your theme.
Pick products or single variants, set a ships-by date and your button text, and try it in the live preview.
The app lists the variants that stop at zero stock. One click, per product, turns on continue selling.
Drop it next to your buy buttons in the theme editor. It only appears on products in a live campaign.

Questions merchants ask
How do shoppers pay for a pre-order?
They pay the full price at checkout, like any other order, and the order is marked as a pre-order with its expected ships-by date. Deposits (part now, the rest later) aren't offered yet, because Shopify requires separate approval for apps that charge saved cards later.
Do I have to change my inventory settings?
To take pre-orders on a variant at zero stock, Shopify needs “Continue selling when out of stock” turned on for it. Mint Preorder shows which variants need it and turns it on only when you click the button, per product. We never change it on our own.
What does “only when out of stock” mean exactly?
The variant must track inventory in Shopify and be at zero or below. In-stock variants keep a normal Add to cart button; the moment a shopper selects a sold-out variant, the button becomes Pre-order and the ships-by note appears.
Where do pre-orders show up?
The pre-order plan name (for example “Pre-order, ships by November 15”) is on the cart line, at checkout, on the order in your Shopify admin and in the order confirmation. You can also see how many units are waiting below zero stock in the app.
Will it slow my store down?
No. The block renders from your store's own data with Liquid, the script is small and deferred, and your storefront never calls our servers.
Which themes are supported?
Online Store 2.0 themes, including Shopify's free themes. Add the Pre-order button block next to your buy buttons in the theme editor. No code to paste.
